Andy grew up in St. Marys, Pennsylvania; the heart of PA’s elk herd and over a million acres of public accessible land. Being surrounded by wildlife and nature his whole life, he decided to take his passion for the outdoors to the next level. He attended Penn State University, where he received a BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Science in 2010. Upon graduation Andy served as a Deer Biologist Aide for the Pennsylvania Game Commission, capturing and radio collaring/tagging deer in the bigwoods of North Central Pennsylvania. He entered an MS program at Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, University of Georgia in the summer of 2011 under the direction of Dr. Karl V. Miller. Andy will be studying the home range and movement ecology of adult male white-tailed deer in his home state of Pennsylvania.
